STORM CLOUD is a simple weather observation device used by navigators in 17th century Europe to predict the weather.
Also known as a weather tube or storm glass, it was used by Robert FitzRoy, one of the founders of meteorology in the 18th century, on the voyage of the British observation ship "Beagle," of which he was captain, and compiled a guide to the appearance of crystals and weather changes.
The reason why the crystals form differently has yet to be clarified, but it is thought that the solubility and crystal shape change depending on the temperature, humidity, air pressure, and atmospheric electrical influences. These mysterious crystals are captivating to look at, and can be enjoyed as interior objects that allow you to feel the nature even while inside your room.
